RESIST COLLECTION

For the days you’re tired of shrinking, explaining, or asking permission to exist.
Built by a Black, nonbinary founder for the ones who refuse to disappear.

Gender-free pieces that move with you, hug every curve, and tell the truth about who you are.
Sizes XS–5X. BIPOC and LGBTQ+ centered. No neutrality when it comes to our safety.

Why Resist?

17th & Granville was born from the nights we didn’t feel safe, seen, or welcome in our own clothes.

From walking into rooms and wondering if we should soften our voice, change our name, or hide the pronouns on our badges.

The Resist Collection is for the ones who stay anyway.
The queer kid at the cookout.
The Black trans woman getting home on the late train.
The nonbinary partner who keeps getting “ma’am” and “sir” in the same sentence.

These pieces are built to do three things:
  • Hold your body with care.
  • Say exactly where you stand.
  • Get you home safe.
Every tee, hoodie, and crewneck carries a message that pushes back against erasure and hate. When you wear Resist, you’re not asking for acceptance. You’re claiming your space.

What's in the Resist Collection?

The Resist lineup is built for everyday wear, late-night rides, protests, coffee runs, and family gatherings where you need backup.

Expect:
  • All-gender cuts that work on straight, plus, masc, fem, and every blend in between.
  • Soft, durable feel that lives in your weekly rotation, not the back of your closet.
  • Direct, unapologetic statements that don’t sugarcoat who you are or who you love.
Pull on a piece, check your pronouns, grab your keys. That’s it.

Built for Our People First

17th & Granville is a Black, nonbinary-led brand that centers BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities with intention and care.

We design for:
  • Folks who are tired of choosing between safety and self-expression.
  • Plus-size, mid-size, and straight-size bodies who rarely see themselves centered in “unisex” clothing.
  • Queer and trans people whose bodies have been questioned, policed, or misunderstood.
This collection stands on a simple truth: your identity isn’t up for debate. Your pronouns aren’t up for debate. Your presence in this world isn’t optional.

If you’ve ever paused to ask, “Is it safe to wear this where I’m going?” — the Resist Collection was created with you top of mind.

The World is Paying Attention

17th & Granville has been featured by brands and platforms that care about how we show up in the world — including Apple at Work, Official Black Wall Street (OBWS), Afro News (AFRO)Baltimore Voyager, and HeyFamm.

Sizing That Actually Sees You

Resist pieces are available in sizes XS to 5X.
  • All-gender sizing with room through the chest, hips, and shoulders.
  • Size chart built off real bodies, not “standard” fit models.
  • If you like a snug fit, go one size down. If you want that roomy, cozy feel, go true to size or one size up.
Still unsure? Send your usual size, height, and how you like things to fit. We’ll help you pick your size like a friend, not a sales clerk.

Care, Quality, and Impact

We source with comfort, durability, and impact in mind.
  • Pieces are printed to order to cut down on waste and overproduction.
  • We work with partners who share our commitment to ethical production.
  • A portion of proceeds supports initiatives uplifting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.
Care instructions are simple:
  • Turn inside out
  • Cold wash
  • Tumble dry low or hang to dry
We want these pieces to ride with you through seasons, not just one event.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the Resist Collection for?

Anyone who lives at the intersection of queerness, Blackness, fatness, transness, and “I’m tired of explaining myself.” Allies are welcome. Just know the priority here is our community first.

Do you really carry sizes up to 5X?

Yes. XS–5X on core pieces. If your size is sold out or missing on a specific item, reach out. It helps us plan restocks and extended sizing.

Are these pieces gender-neutral?

Yes. We don’t design around the binary. We design around actual bodies.

How long will my order take?

Most pieces are printed to order. Shipping times are listed at checkout, and you’ll get tracking once your order ships.

What if I have an issue with my order?
